Guidelines for dealing with school refusal
The guidelines aim to help school teachers and other staff deepen their understanding of how to support children who are not attending school and to further enhance support by summarizing specific measures from the perspectives of prevention, early response, and support for independence.
Parents' meetings for children and students who are refusing to attend school
At these social gatherings, parents with similar concerns can talk to each other and exchange information. They are held roughly once a semester (approximately six times a year for both elementary and junior high schools), and involve lectures by instructors and group talks, allowing parents to interact with each other. Information on the event will be posted on the Itabashi Ward website as it approaches.

You can stop by the booth of a high school that interests you and have a one-on-one consultation. We provide parents with a forum to discuss with psychological, medical, and welfare experts about their children who are refusing to go to school or who are withdrawn from society, and support their future social independence.
