Children can talk about anything they are feeling, such as pain, suffering, troubles, school or home issues, or things they don't know who to talk to. Adults are also welcome to come to us for child-related issues.

This is a place that can be used by children who are not attending school and want to find a place where they can continue to attend. While talking and playing with a counselor in the trial free space, we will first help you find a place where you can continue to attend. No reservations or applications are required before using the service. Home visits are also available upon request.

School Refusal/Hikikomori Counseling Center Nicomo Room

This is a place where children up to the age of 18 who are not attending school, not leaving the house, etc., and their parents can come for consultation and a place to stay. Qualified counselors will interact with children by talking and playing with them. Various activities and events such as sports and farm work are also held. Support is also available through home visits.

Skip Classroom

We provide support to elementary and junior high school students living in the city who are not attending school for various reasons, with the aim of helping them become socially independent through their studies and daily lives. First, we provide a place where children can attend with peace of mind, and we help them establish a daily rhythm by having them attend according to a timetable. We also help them start making plans for their future, such as going on to high school.

Counseling support for school-refusing children and students in Nishitokyo City

Nishitokyo City believes that school refusal does not occur in certain children, but can happen to any child, and provides a variety of learning and support opportunities tailored to the circumstances and needs of each child who is refusing to go to school, as well as support for parents. This booklet introduces Nishitokyo City's support programs for school refusal.

Children's feelings and parents' thoughts seen through school refusal - Thinking about children's minds and growth

This handbook was created to ease the various anxieties and worries of parents of school-age children. It focuses on refusal or inability to attend school, and outlines signs that indicate a child's mental state, how to interact with them, how to interact with the school, and where to go for advice and support.

Career options for junior high school students who don't attend school or can't attend school

We will hold lectures aimed at junior high school students who do not or cannot attend school and their parents, to provide information on what the high school they will go on to after graduating from junior high school is like, and to help children and parents choose their future paths.
